The water protection officer advises the entrepreneur or operator and the employees in matters that may be significant for water protection. He has rights and duties that are determined by law.

The waste management officer advises the owner or operator of a facility and the employees on matters that may be significant for recycling management and waste disposal. He has rights and duties determined by law.

According to the BImSchG (Federal Immission Control Act), the Immission Control Officer must be appointed if this is required by the type and size of the operated facilities causing emissions that require a permit. Our commissioning service can be used both for the ongoing operation of a plant requiring a permit under the BImSchG and for large construction sites. In this context, we assume the function of a non-operating representative according to § 5 of the 5th BImSchV and support you with our expertise from numerous approval procedures according to the Federal Immission Control Act.

According to the 11th BImSchV, the operators of plants requiring a permit are obliged to submit an emission declaration every 4 years. In this declaration, the air pollutant emissions emitted by the plant as well as the throughput quantities of the substances relevant for the emissions must be stated.

Pursuant to § 31 of the Federal Immission Control Act (BImSchG), operators of IE plants are obliged to submit an annual summary of the results of emission monitoring and other data required to verify compliance with the permit requirements (pursuant to § 6 para. 1, no. 1 BImSchG) to the competent licensing authority.

Operators of facilities that meet the following criteria are required to submit a PRTR report in accordance with the E-PRTR Regulation (European Pollutant Release and Transfer Register):

• at least one activity according to Annex I of the E-PRTR Regulation is carried out,
• the pollutant emissions exceed one or more of the threshold values specified in Annex II of the E-PRTR Regulation,
• more than 2 tons per year of hazardous waste or 2,000 tons per year of non-hazardous waste are shipped off-site.

The report is submitted in electronic form via the BUBE-Online software. The deadline for submission is May 31 of the following year in each case.

According to § 3 paragraph 4 and paragraph 6 of the 42nd BImSchV, the operator of evaporative cooling plants and cooling towers has to ensure that certain activities for the plant are carried out by a hygienically competent person prior to commissioning or recommissioning (already from 7 days plant shutdown). We support you from the cadastral registration to the risk assessment, risk analysis and risk evaluation as well as in the preparation of the operation diary according to the requirements of the 42nd BImSchV.
