Supervision of the implementation in accordance with the approved design
For the proper implementation of a construction project, it is important for the individual building services to be supervised by qualified personnel (site management).
We ensure that all building services are implemented correctly and at the appropriate level of quality. We also make sure that what is implemented matches the content of the approval documentation, so that the completed building project is compliant. In the role of construction project manager/site manager, we push as needed for compliance with and/or implementation of aspects that are relevant to approval. Moreover, we identify potential deficiencies in a timely manner, thus avoiding further damage.
Control of costs
When executing a project, it is preferable for the site manager to also have responsibility for control of costs. We offer you both of these services in one package. In the area of cost control, we continually monitor the development of costs while construction is ongoing. This is a continual process. If we identify deviations, we make a note of these and decide whether the design/implementation is to continue unchanged or whether targeted cost management measures should be taken. Control of costs is always based on the corresponding guide values, which serve as the basis for comparison (contrast of ACTUAL vs. TARGET).
H&S coordinator – safety coordination on construction sites
The H&S coordinator should be involved right from the design phase of a building proposal. S/he should draw up the health and safety plan, or have said plan drawn up, and compile a document with the required information regarding health and safety, which document is to be taken into account during any later work on the structural installation.
In the context of executing a building project, the H&S coordinator oversees the implementation of the general principles of section 4 of the German Occupational Safety and Health Act (ArbSchG), adapts the health and safety plan to the needs of the particular case (or has it adapted), organizes cooperation between employers, and coordinates supervision of correct working practices by the employers.
Workplace health and safety
Despite the generally high level of technology of equipment in the manufacturing and industrial sectors, the topic of workplace health and safety is a constant companion. In accordance with the German Occupational Safety and Health Act (ArbSchG), the employer is obliged to take the necessary workplace safety measures to protect the safety and health of workers at work. Furthermore, the employer must review the effectiveness of the measures and, if necessary, adapt them to changing circumstances. The emphasis is on improving health and safety for workers as much as possible (see also section 3 of the ArbSchG: "Basic obligations on the employer").
The necessary measures should take the following principles as a starting point (see also section 4 of the ArbSchG: "General principles"):
- Design work in such a way that risks to life and health are avoided as far as possible, and the remaining hazards are kept to a minimum
- Eliminate hazards at their source
- Factor in the currently available technology, occupational medicine and hygiene and the results of other confirmed occupational research
- Plan measures in such a way that technology, organization of work, other working conditions, social relationships, and the influence of environmental factors on the workplace are appropriately linked
- Factor in specific hazards for groups of workers requiring special protection
- Give workers appropriate instruction and training
The employer must identify and assess the hazards in order to determine the risk to workers. S/he must then determine the necessary measures (see also section 5 of the ArbSchG: Assessment of the working conditions").
By way of example, hazards can arise as a result of:
- the design and setup of the workplace and workstation
- the design of working methods and production processes, work sequences, and working hours as well as the interaction of these elements
- the design, selection, and use of work equipment, in particular of materials, machinery, devices, and systems, and contact with these
- physical, chemical, and biological effects
- insufficient qualification and instruction of workers.
The employer must record the results of the assessment and the necessary measures for improving workplace safety. A plan of action sets out the responsibility for removing the hazards, the time sequence of the measures, and the process for monitoring the effectiveness of the measures.

In accordance with DIN 69901, project management is understood to mean: "... all of the management functions, organization, techniques and means for implementing a project."
When implementing a project, it is very important for the various areas of planning, support, and implementation to be appropriately coordinated (irrespective of whether this refers to people or companies). The first step is to establish the service boundaries and interfaces and to set out the schedule including required deadlines. In the course of the project, it becomes increasingly important to coordinate the relevant people or companies and monitor deadlines. During project preparation and after completion of the project, the scope and quality of the individual services must be examined. Control and monitoring of costs are important elements in this process.
In the context of plant construction, we see ourselves not only as a design service provider, but also as a key contact for the functions of coordination and control within the framework of project management.
